Career Comparative Analysis Of Career - 1152 Words

Logan Montuori Professor St. Clair ENG 152 25 November 2016 Career Comparative Analysis I am always in search of new knowledge and understanding. I prefer analyzing situations instead jumping right into them. I have a relatively calm and collected personality, as I prefer to listen to others in order to obtain new knowledge that will then lead me to my own conclusions. I value justice above many other ideals. I don’t feel comfortable with the unknown, which is why I am constantly looking for answers and explanations. These are all simple characteristics that the â€Å"What’s Your Color?† assessment gave me. When I first saw this personality test I figured it was going to be extremely inaccurate as many of them usually are. Ironically and to my surprise, it was impressively spot on. Going down the list, I can agree with each and every characteristic about myself. This confirmed my top two careers to pursue. The first being a career in law enforcement as a detective, and the second being a career as a lawyer. After doing so me research, I’ve concluded that becoming a lawyer is the superior option. For starters, a police detective isn’t a standalone job one can simply jump right into after college. Becoming a police officer and a detective are simply stops along the road in the career path of law enforcement. However, before even becoming a police officer, one must undergo training at a police academy.
